Delete in the app, or email us from your account's email address.

This page explains how to request deletion of your BreakOff account and the data associated with it. BreakOff is published by BreakOff LLC (Salt Lake City, Utah) on the App Store and on Google Play. If you never created an account (you used BreakOff without signing in), nothing about you is stored on our servers; deleting the app removes everything from your device.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest way. Your account is deleted immediately.

  • Open BreakOff and make sure you're signed in.
  • On the Home screen, tap your profile picture in the top corner to open Profile.
  • Under Account, tap Personal Information.
  • Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  • Tap Delete Account again, then Yes, Delete Forever to confirm.

Uninstalling the app on its own does not delete your account.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, can't sign in, or prefer not to use the app:

  • Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your BreakOff account (the email of the Apple or Google account you signed in with).
  • Use the subject line “Delete my BreakOff account”.
  • If you used Apple's “Hide My Email,” send it from the Apple ID email that forwards to that private relay address, or tell us your BreakOff username so we can find the account.

We may ask you to confirm the request to make sure it comes from the account owner. We'll delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your BreakOff account and sign-in record (your link to Sign in with Apple or Google).
  • Your profile: username, display name, birth year, and preferences.
  • Your uploaded profile photo, and organization name and logo if you set up Host.
  • Your synced data and break history (break times and durations, streaks and stats).
  • Your friend connections, friend requests, break invites, and leaderboard entries.
  • Your memberships in shared breaks, and the in-app feedback you sent.

Data that BreakOff keeps only on your device (your blocked-app choices, app groups, schedules, and local settings) is never on our servers; it is removed when you delete the app from your device.

What may be kept, and for how long

  • Database backups: encrypted backups of our database are overwritten within 30 days, after which your data is gone from them too.
  • Purchase records: if you bought BreakOff Pro, Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), and our subscription provider RevenueCat keep transaction records under their own retention policies and as required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention. We can't delete those records.
  • Crash reports: diagnostic reports in Sentry, which are not linked to your name or email, are automatically deleted within 90 days.
  • Product analytics: usage events in PostHog are no longer linked to an active account once it's deleted. If you'd like the analytics records tied to your account ID deleted too, say so in your email and we'll remove them.
  • Host shares: if you published a shared schedule or QR poster through Host, the share itself may stay available so printed posters keep working, but it is no longer linked to your account.
  • Support emails: emails you've sent to [email protected], including your deletion request, are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel a BreakOff Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel yours there to stop future charges:
